This is a nasty paradox: the very tools designed to refine recruitment processes are also making things harder. Companies need to rely more and more on AI-driven platforms to assess job applicants. The unintended consequence is a workforce selection process that may overlook top talent.

The Problem of The AI Bot in Hiring

Companies use different AI tools, like CV scanners and body-language analysis, to make their hiring process faster and fairer. However, these tools can sometimes create new problems. Even though they’re supposed to stop biases, the AI might still be biased because of the data it was trained on. This means sometimes the AI wrongly rejects really good candidates just because they don’t match what the AI is looking for.

For example, there have been cases where very talented people didn’t get jobs because the AI misunderstood them. Some job seekers have had to change things like their birthdates so the AI would consider them a good fit.
