Office workers used to think their jobs were safe from the kind of automation that changed manufacturing jobs. However, now they’re finding out that AI technology could actually threaten their jobs. The Wall Street Journal reported that jobs that require working in an office, often called white-collar jobs, are at risk because of AI. This new kind of AI can do more than just help out; it might even take over tasks like analyzing data and making decisions that humans used to do.

Generative AI is a type of technology that can work with data very quickly, making it a big challenge for regular office jobs. This AI can make decisions by itself after analyzing data, which means humans are mainly needed to give it the right instructions.
